Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Brew & Groove (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we may collect when you use our website and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you visit our site, we may automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages you view. If you contact us or sign up for updates, we may collect the information you provide (e.g., name, email address).
If you create an account, we store your email address, sign-in session, optional display name, timezone, and an optional city used to look up weather. We also store coffee and music preferences you submit, chat messages, recommendations we show you, and how you rate those recommendations. Orders placed while signed in are linked to your account; we may also attach earlier guest orders that used the same email.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the site, process orders, send magic-link sign-in emails and order updates, power the mood chatbot (including time of day, weather, preferences, and past ratings), and comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our site may use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage) for essential functions, such as your cart, signed-in session, and remembering preferences. Cloudflare Turnstile may run on the sign-in form to reduce automated abuse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can adjust your browser settings to limit or block cookies.
Third parties
We may use third-party services that process data on our behalf, including hosting (Cloudflare, including Workers AI and Turnstile), email (Resend), payments (Square), coffee fulfillment (Roastify), music metadata (Last.fm), 30-second audio previews and artwork (Apple iTunes Search), and weather/geocoding (Open-Meteo). Album pages may include sponsored affiliate links to retailers. Those providers have their own privacy practices. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
On-site music previews
When Apple provides a clip, we may play a 30-second preview in the browser. Previews are streamed from Apple’s servers, not hosted by us.
Data retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
